Twenty Miles To Mother formed around 2008 when Luigi (drums & backing vocals) and Nicola (guitar & vocals) decided to start playing together; later Luca (bass & backing vocals) joined the band to complete the line-up.
Luigi and Luca already played together in Suburban Noise, one of the most important italian emocore bands, active during the 90's until the beginning of 2k.
In 2009 the band recorded their first demo and received very good reviews around.
Their sound was strongly influenced by bands like Braid, Eversor and Texas Is The Reason but all these influences were developped and represented in a very personal way that made Twenty Miles To Mother one of the best and most original emo-indie italian reality today!
In 2010 they recorded 3 new tracks. Two of these tracks have been released by Hanged Man Records in early 2011 on a 200 copies limited edition one sided 7” on white vinyl
with blank side silkscreened by Serimal www.serimal.com
Some months after 7" was released they sadly split up.
